The Hedgehog
Hedgehog Facts
The hedgehog lives in gardens, hedges and woods.
The hedgehog makes nests using dry leaves.
The hedgehog has a prickly coat, sharp spines and a short tail.
When the hedgehog is frightened, he curls up into a ball and the spines protect him from danger.
Hedgehogs eat slugs, snails and frogs.
Baby hedgehogs are called Hoglets.
Hedgehogs hibernate in winter
